Alex Archbold is quite a character. He runs the Curiosity Inc. antiques and general store in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and also makes Youtube videos of all the other exploits he finds himself in. Curiosity Inc Videos – The Isetta
A video series following Alex as he ends up buying a BMW Isetta. Not nearly as big as the other cars he has bought before or since (A Pontiac ambulance or a Cadilac he pulled out of a garage that had been sitting for 25 years.) He does a series of videos on repairing the little car in his own garage. The car is easily his most unusual and he gets parts to get the little egg car up and running again. Curiosity Inc Videos – Helping Out a Homeless Man
A touching video series where Alex meets a homeless man named Adam who walks into his store and askes about a Bambi picture from Disney. Originally Alex offers a decent sum for it until he finds out later that it is a genuine Bambi animation still and worth a LOT more than what he asked for originally. Alex then finds Adam and splits the profit he made off of it. A special moment in Alex’s life and a sign of the kind things people can do for each other.
Curiosity Inc Videos – New Sister
Alex took an online DNA test and lo and behold it says that there is a good probability they have found a relative in Colorado. They get into contact with her and he finds out that he has an older sister! He takes a flight and goes down to meet her and start an amazing new friendship with his new family.
The New Store
Alex has been looking for a new place for his store, Curiosity Inc. and he finds it! This series looks at the remodeling of the building to make it into the store fitting of the stuff Alex sells while also having the feel of an old time general store. He not only has to deal with stuff to rebuild around the store to make it a better place to do business but also has to deal with city government as the land it sits on is zoned for an apartment building. There are all kinds of stuff that pops up in his quest for a new building to sell his goods.
The Potter’s house
A project that sees Alex buy a house and its primary owner, art and clay potter Mary Borgstrom moves into an assisted living home. The house has a lot of stuff to sort through and a lot of things to get cleaned up with the idea of selling it in the future. He and the friends he has helping him go through each step of taking the little house and turning it back into a livable space again for a family to call home.
