Netflix Christmas Movies – Get Santa
Santa Claus crashed his sleigh and catches the attention of the local police, landing him in jail. He seeks out a father, who saw him in the sky as a child, and his son for help by rounding up his reindeer so he can return home and save Christmas. Without their help, no children will receive their presents.
The film stars Jim Broadbent as Santa (“Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” “Bridget Jones’s Diary”), Rafe Spall as Jim Anderson (“Three Flavours Cornetto” trilogy, “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom”), and Kit Connor as Tom Anderson. Originally released in the UK in 2014, the film came to Netflix for the whole world to watch.
Netflix Christmas Movies – A Christmas Prince
It is so cliché, but who doesn’t love a sappy movie where a girl falls in love with a prince? You have to get invested in this movie because it is a trilogy.
Released in 2017, “The Christmas Prince” follows Amber Moore, a magazine journalist who is sent to Aldovia to cover a press conference given by the crown Prince Richard, who will take the throne following his father’s death. She falls in love with the prince in a crazy turn of events.
Starring Rose McIver (“iZombie, “Once Upon a Time”) and Ben Lam (“The White Queen,” “Now You See Me 2”), this series is a must watch. Make sure to also watch “A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding” and “The Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby.”
Netflix Christmas Movies – Merry Happy Whatever
A strong-willed father, played by Dennis Quaid, deals with the stress of the holidays when his daughter (Bridgit Mendler) brings her new boyfriend home for Christmas. The first season consists of eight episodes taking place around the week of Christmas. With hopes of a second season, they would love to take it in the direction of other holidays.
The series also stars Ashley Tisdale, Brent Morin (“Undateable”), and more hilarious actors.
The Princess Switch
It’s like “The Parent Trap” meets “The Princess and the Pauper”. Vanessa Hudgens stars in the film as the two women who switch places. One week before Christmas, a duchess switches place with an ordinary woman from Chicago, who could be her long-lost twin. The women enjoy their new lives and wind up falling for the other woman’s love interest.
A sequel, “The Princess Switch: Switched Again” will stream on Netflix in 2020. This time, Hudgens will be playing three parts, where Fiona, a lookalike party girl, comes into the picture.
The Christmas Chronicles
Siblings Kate and Teddy Pierce conduct a plan to catch Santa Claus, played by Kurt Russell, on Christmas Eve. When the plan goes awry, they end up miles from their home and they join forces with Santa and his elves to save Christmas before it’s too late.
The film is like a big family Christmas party because it also stars Goldie Hawn and her son, Oliver Hudson.
