Going by word count it is said that the longest book in history is “Artamène Ou Le Grand Cyrus” a romantic novel written by Madeleine de Scudery in the 17th century. This is a 10 volume Book and contains 2.1 million words and around 10,000 pages. It is not exactly a quick read and pray on the poor soul who has to do a book report on it.
Smallest Book in the world
The smallest book in history is “Teeny Ted from Turnip Town” and it was written by Malcolm Douglas Chaplin. It was printed on pure crystalline silicon and measures around 70 micrometers by 100 micrometers making it so small it can fit on a human hair. It is said that it can only be read by using an electron microscope. That is something you usually don’t find in a library to use when on a trip for something to read. No word if the book is a long read or if there would be a television or movie deal. My guess is that it is from cover to cover a quick read.
