The fourth installment of the Toy Story quadrilogy is here!
As the stories of these toys come to an end, I’m looking forward to the newest film of my all time favorite movies EVER!
Here are a few fun facts about Toy Story 4 you should know before watching it!
Bo Peep Is Back!
It’s been a decade since we last saw Bo and in Toy Story 4 she’s back and better than ever!
The porcelain shepherdess is ready to live a life of adventure rather than playing it safe on a night stand or shelf.
Since she’s made of porcelain, the animators researched and took the time to portray what a porcelain figurine would physically be like if she were to come to life.
In this movie, Bo embodies powerful women who were the inspiration of her personality: Rey from Star Wars, Dottie from A League of Their Own and the Bride from Kill Bill, according to Buzzfeed.
It’s safe to say that Bo might be the latest badass and feminist icon of the year.
Don Rickles Is Still The Voice Of Mr. Potato Head.
Don Rickles passed away from kidney failure back in 2017 so fans were unsure of where Mr. Potatohead would stand in Toy Story 4? Would he be included? Would his voice be re-recorded by a different actor? These questions were raised when the Pixar film was announced.
Fortunately, director Josh Cooley answered our questions in March. He announced that Don Rickles would still be the voice of Mr. Potato Head despite not recording any new content for the new film.
It was revealed by Entertainment Weekly that the Toy Story team looked through decades worth of unused recordings or Mr. Potato Head to be used in the new installment.
Major Stars Are Appearing In This Film.
Keegan Michael Peele and Jordan Peele are the voices of a couple of the newest toys we meet this time around.
The hilarious pair of comedians will be voicing Ducky and Bunny. They are stuffed animal prizes at a carnival that are ready to be won and will be adding some of their comedy relief.
Up next on the roster is the beloved Keanu Reeves as Duke Caboom. Duke Caboom is a toy of a canadian stuntman.
Reeves scored the gig by visiting Pixar’s location in Emeryville, California to ask questions about the character he wanted to play.
During their lunch break, Reeves jumped up onto a table and started to strike poses.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the producers recalled this audition.
“He climbed on a table and was striking poses in the middle of the atrium and we thought, that is Duke Caboom!” they said.
Beware Of Gabby Gabby
Gabby Gabby is the newest villain of the film. She runs everything in the antique shop where we meet with some of the new toys.
When things don’t go her way, she’s evil. She looks like a sweet little doll but of course has a dark side. This is similar to Lotso’s persona in Toy Story 3.
Toy Story 4 More Easter Eggs Than Any Pixar Film.
According to NME and other media outlets, Toy Story 4 has the most easter eggs compared to any Pixar film.
