Top 5 Places To Put Your Button Pin Collection
Are you someone who collects things or likes to express yourself with accessories? Then you have probably collected some buttons or pins throughout the years, whether it was Disney pins, pop culture, countries, etc.
Sometimes the pins just sit around collecting dust and some of them never see the light of day. And some of them should because they are cool, and you will probably get a lot of compliments on them.
So whether they have a backing on them or you have to loop them through material, pins come in all different shapes and sizes and deserve to be seen by others.
Here are the top 5 places to put your pin collection.
A Purse, Bag or Backpack
This is one of the most common ways to display your pins. If you are a student or use a backpack often, putting them on there might be useful. Some people cover their entire backpack while others only put maybe 3 or 4 on there. If you have a cute duffel bag, or plain bag that you want to dress up, definitely do that. Whether you want to do a theme or random ones, make it you. You never know who you might bond with over your pins.
A Denim Jacket
Creating the most epic DIY pin denim jacket takes a lot of creativity, money and patience. Some people use a leather jacket, but denim is more common, especially if you want a more nostalgic/90s look. Find a denim jacket that isn’t too expensive and start decorating. The good thing about a denim jacket is there are plenty of places to put them- on the collar, pockets, or body of the coat. Most people decorate their jackets with patches and pins so go as crazy as you’d like. The only downside is taking them all off if you need to wash the jacket.
A Lanyard
Disney fans know this all too well. Putting your pins on a lanyard is a great way to display them and to keep track of which ones you have. If you’re someone who wants to keep track of your keys easily, a lanyard is a great tool because you’ll easily see it, so why not make it a bit more you? The only thing is that pins can fall off these very easily, especially if you keep the lanyard in a bag, so just be careful.
A Hat
Whether you wear a hat for protection from the sun or just for fashion, it is great for pins. A beanie might work but a baseball cap is ideal. It might be hard to put them on the brim, but the part that is sitting on your head is usually a bit softer. So be sure to pick some cute ones and attach them to a hat you might wear often.
A Necklace
This might be the hardest and most creative to do. If you have an old pin that maybe the pointy part fell off of or just really like it as a necklace, get a chain and make a fashion statement. You might need to take it to a professional jeweler. However, if it is the kind where you don’t need a backing and can just hook it together, it might be easier to put onto a chain, but it could fall off.
