Top 5 Tips You Must Know When Playing Aliens Fireteam Elite
Aliens Fireteam Elite is the video game experience that equally matches James Cameron’s Aliens. It’s fast-paced, intense, and delivers high-tension action that the aforementioned film is best known for. One fact you must know is that the game itself is not easy. There are five difficulties in total and if you’re not prepared for the onslaught that awaits you, then you’ll be easy prey to the xenomorph threat. So, for that reason, let’s list the five best tips and tricks to get the upper hand against the alien threat. While we do recommend playing with friends, sometimes that’s not always guaranteed. Let this list aid those who play alone or decide to play with a team of randoms.
Rank Up Everything
There are six classes for the game and each has its perks and qualities. When tackling each level, you’ll notice that a specific rank level is recommended for each mission. This means the further you go, the more difficult the threat will be. Ranking up your classes and weapons is key to survival in this game. You can always replay earlier missions on lower difficulties to rank up and reach the desired skill to survive the more difficult levels. Additionally, we will give you tips on how to rank up faster and achieve those better weapons that we all seek.
Challenge Cards
Whether you find the hidden crates in each mission or purchase a three-pack on your own, challenge cards add a unique spin to the overall experience. These challenges offer a more rewarding experience provided you complete the task at hand. Some make the enemies stronger, faster, and even more relentless while other challenges are fun such as the altering of your field of view or scoring numerous headshots. The tougher the challenge, the bigger the reward. It’s better to go big and rack up those additional skills points but beware if you fail the challenge, you lose all the skills you earned throughout the mission. Being that there are no checkpoints during any of the missions, the entirety of the mission has to be completed for the challenge card to grant you those increased skills.
Tactical Opportunities
Every day and once a week, new opportunities are available to challenge yourself while diving into those missions. Some require you to either kill hundreds of xenomorphs or play any mission with a specific class. Once you complete those tasks, you’ll be rewarded with monetary skills to purchase weapons, expand your skill set in your classes and even brighten up your guns with classy weapon skins. Combine the tactical opportunities with a challenge card and collect even more points to aid in building up your classes. Some of the opportunities require some skills such as achieving headshots or surviving a harder difficulty, but the rewards that you get are worth the challenge.
Dodging

When playing Aliens Fireteam Elite you’ll realize that your gun won’t be enough to save you. Dodging enemies is a quick and easy way to fend off an incoming attack. With a plethora of enemies looking to take you down, you must be aware of all directions the impending threat can come from. Forget just the standard xenomorph, we have ones that can pounce on you, explode in an acid explosion which can harm you and your teammates, plus look out for the big xenos that are large, aggressive, and can take an ungodly amount of damage. It’s better to dodge for a moment than to just stand there reloading while the swarm charges at you. A gun will kill the enemy, but a perfectly timed dodge can easily spare you the damage inflicted, and with the higher difficulties, mastering the dodging maneuver will ensure your survivability.
Use your Consumables
There are times when you have to hold an objective until the threat is eliminated. Whether your gun is sitting at the highest rank or your class is at the master rank, your consumables are your best friend. Remote sentry guns, cryo grids that can freeze your enemies, mines to secure your rear and flank, and special ammo all contribute to aiding your chances of progressing. With the special ammo, remember that incendiary rounds work well against xenos and electroshock rounds assist in taking down synthetics. Challenge cards and tactical opportunities will aid in providing you the money to purchase additional supplies before you start a mission. Depending on the mission you’re tackling, plan which consumables will work best for you. They will give the edge in the battle especially when the horde is almost too overwhelming to handle.
