The planner community is a huge market. From people buying planners at craft stores, online, at paper stores, or even making their own, writing down your day is the new trend that is not going away. And it’s not just about planning anymore. It’s about making your planner look as cute as possible to have as a memory keeper too. So if you are a planner girl here are five things we know you have.
#5 – Markers

Color coding is perfect when it comes to planning. You can separate the task you have based on the subject when you have colorful markers. Though having markers to use to decorate and color code are not a problem, its just when you have to have every brand of mildliners markers when it’s an issue. Because once you start collecting them, you cannot stop and before you know it you have 12 green apple markers that are not even the same green. So keep using your markers just try to sort out the ones you don’t like.
#4 – A Favorite Pen

You are not a true planner girl if you do not have a pile of pens, but only want to use one. There can just be something perfect about your favorite pen as you write effortlessly on paper or stickers. Or maybe it’s because the pen you use doesn’t smudge and dries quickly. Whatever the reason you love your favorite pen is fine, but if anyone else in the house uses it then there is going to become an issue. So make sure to store it in a safe place until the next time you plan.
#3 – Washi Tape

One of the easiest ways to decorate a planner is with washi tape because it’s perfect for everything. You can block off a chunk of time, layout when you are going to be out of town or just make your planner look pretty, washi tape does it all. But most of the time, for anyone who has a planner, you cannot stop at buying one washi roll, you’ll buy ten at a time and have unopened backups of your favorite one too. I know that you need all of those washi tapes to go with any spread you want, but your partner might not be as understanding.
#2 – Stickers

The whole reason why people use a planner is to help keep track of what you need to do in a day. However, if someone outside of the planner community looks at it, they might think you only use a planner to buy beautiful stickers. But who says a planner can’t be both functional and pretty. So you might spend too much time on Etsy buying stickers for everything you do in a day, but at least you are happy!
#1 – Unused Planners

As much as we love the planner we use every day, there always seems to be other planners that are calling our names. And you are not sure what type of planner you want to use. Maybe halfway through the year, you get tired of your horizontal layout and you need something that will help you keep track of the time better, like an hourly planner would. Whatever the case may be one planner is never enough until we have too many to use at all!
