Paying attention to detail in the way you color within the lines is taking your attention away from what is making you anxious. In the end, you’ll have a beautifully colored picture. You can purchase a coloring book almost anywhere. If coloring isn’t your style, there are plenty of other arts and crafts that are just as good like painting and ceramics.
Watch Your Favorite Movie or TV Series
Anything to get your mind off whatever is making you anxious is always a good thing, even if it’s only a short amount of time. Focus on the characters of the show and not what’s on your mind. Invite over some friends and watch a comedy movie. For people that have higher anxiety, it is best to pick a movie where the characters aren’t in any distress.

Music can calm almost anyone down, especially if you’re listening to your favorite artist or genre. If you use Spotify, there are plenty of playlists created that have songs about anxiety.
