Even though Summer ends officially on Wednesday, September 22nd, a lot of people think that it ends when Labor Day rolls around. Everyone wants the nicer weather and to decorate their house with cute Fall decorations.
Autumn, or Fall, is one of the best times of the year, but sometimes we can’t let go of Summer so quickly.
However, that time between Labor Day and the first official day of Fall is very confusing. You want to wear cute Fall clothes, but you are still sweating, wearing shorts and flip-flops.
Here are, in no particular order, 5 thoughts you have when it’s between Summer and Fall.
“I just want to wear hoodies and leggings!”
As we mentioned before, once Labor Day hits people are in automatic Fall mode. You want to step outside in your hoodies, boots, leggings, etc., but sometimes it’s still 90 degrees and you have to wear shorts to keep cool. Fall is one of the best times of the year because of the weather and it’s all we ask for Mother Nature. Although, we will miss the flip-flops.
“I miss Summer and my free time”
School has started back up. For some, jobs start back up. Fall is when everything goes back to reality. In the Summertime, you can go to concerts, road trips with your friends, go to amusement parks, vacations, stay up late, etc. but in the Fall, everyone is busy with school, work, etc. You start missing Summer and all the leisure time you had. Then you start regretting that you didn’t do more and start making a list of everything you want to do next Summer and suddenly, you’re behind on the task in front of you. It’s ok. Summer will be waiting for you.
“Is it too early for a pumpkin spiced latte?”
Fall is all about pumpkins and pumpkin spice. Companies will flavor anything pumpkin and consumer will most likely buy it. There are pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin candles, cookies, etc. Basically, anything you can eat is probably offering a pumpkin flavor. The craze is back and will be for most of Fall. People go crazy over pumpkin.
“I can’t tell if this is a cold or allergies”
Have you had a stuffy nose, sore throat, and cough for a while? Can you tell if it us a cold or allergies? Yeah, me either. It could be allergies because one day it is 92 degrees and the next is 75. It could also be a cold because of the changing weather. Either way, make sure you get it checked out so you can feel better soon.
“Aren’t the leaves supposed to be changing colors?”
Most of the time, when September rolls around you see the leaves falling off the trees before they even change colors. Fall is depicted as leaves changing to beautiful yellow, red, orange, brown leaves, not dying green leaves. If you’re going to make us sick and suffer with heat, at least give us a pretty sight to look at.
Honorable mentions: “Can I still wear white?” “I never accomplished my beach body.” “Didn’t Summer just start?”
