Read on for the top 5 reasons why you should embrace being single.
You have more time for friends

Did you ever notice that when someone gets into a relationship, they spend most of their free time with their significant other? It’s not that they forget about their friends, it’s just that they want to hang with this person too and they usually wind up coming to all the gatherings and don’t get the inside jokes. Friends won’t be there forever, so don’t take them for granted and don’t forget about them. Plan at least one night a month, where everyone can get together and celebrate your friendship. After all, they’ll be the ones there for you when your relationship goes south.
You have more time to work on your goals, passions and hobbies

Are you striving for your dream job or that promotion at work? Do you want to learn how to cook, or write more, or take up sewing? If you are single, you can work on all of that in your free time. If you are in a relationship, you most likely go to work and then spend your free time with your significant other. Working on your goals and passions can make you happier and allow you to be at the place you want to be in at life. Then, when you have yourself figured out you can fully focus on another person and help them with their passions.
You will have more money

You want to save up for that trip to Europe or buy a new car, then you may be better off single for a while. When you are in a relationship, you spend money on dates, have the pressure to save money for a wedding, spend money on gifts for the other person and just overall spend more money. Plus, food and rent for one are a lot cheaper.
No one will eat your food or steal your covers or wear your hoodies

When you’re in a relationship, you want to share things with your significant other. When you’re single, you can have it all to yourself. The bed and covers are all yours. No one will eat your snacks or the leftovers you’ve been saving (unless you have a roommate with no manners), and you will have all your hoodies because face it, they will wear them.
You can love yourself more and know what you want out of life

There is no one there judging you when you’re sitting on your couch in your pajamas, scrolling through Instagram, and just being yourself. You must love yourself before you can love someone else and that is the most important part. Also, you find out what you want from life and a relationship or if you even want a relationship. Finding yourself and loving yourself feels like freedom and one of the best things in life.
To all those single out there, be patient. Your time will come. For now, be happy!
