It’s officially the holiday season and that calls for binge watching as many Christmas movies as you can. There are so many Christmas movies, you may not be able to watch them all, from the classics, to the pop culture favorites to Netflix originals, you have an array of movies to pick from.

“You’ll shoot your eye out!” Ralphie wants a red rider bb gun for Christmas, but everyone from his mother to his teacher thinks it’s a bad idea. He spends the movie trying to convince everyone otherwise. In the end, he winds up getting it for Christmas and almost does shoot his eye out. Luckily, his glasses blocked his eyes. The Christmas Story is so cringy and cheesy, you must love it. The movie is so popular they made a live-action version and a musical. The leg lamp will forever be a pop culture phenomenon.
Must Watch Christmas Movies – How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Based on the cartoon beloved children’s tale, this live-action version of the Grinch will have you laughing until your cheeks hurt. The Grinch tries to ruin everyone in Whoville’s Christmas. He steals all of their presents. He has a change of heart when he runs into little Cindy Lou Who. Jim Carrey portrays the Grinch and a better person could not have been picked. He made the classic role hilarious, ad libbing many parts and making this one of the best Christmas movies of all-time.
Must Watch Christmas Movies – Home Alone
Although the movie doesn’t revolve around Christmas, it does take place during Christmas, and it is so iconic, we just had to include it. Kevin McCallister gets left home alone after his family takes a trip to Paris and forgets him. After he discovers two burglars are trying to get into the house, Kevin sets up traps to stop them while his family is across the country trying to reach him and worried sick. Kevin learns how to live on his own and his pranks, antics, and hacks, are what makes the movie so great. The movie is so memorable that the series went on to produce four films.
The Polar Express
You’re lying if you say you don’t love this movie. It is a heartwarming story about growing up, believing, and friendship. What’s not to love? Hero boy has been questioning whether Santa Clause is real. The Polar Express shows up to take him to the North Pole. He makes some friends on the train and they sneak off from the group after their compartment gets detached. In the end, he meets Santa and forever believes. Plus, Tom Hanks does almost every voice, so that is another reason why the movie is so loved.
You’d have to be a cotton-headed ninny muggins to not like this movie. Will Ferrell portrays Buddy the Elf, a human who is living the elf life. Santa tells him that he is actually a human and that his father, who is on the naughty list, lives in New York City. Buddy treks through the seven levels of the candy cane forest to get to him. When Buddy arrives in NYC, he has to fit in with normal humans and it makes for a hilarious movie. There are so many quotable lines from the film and many people watch it all year around.
