Top 5 Tips For Seniors In Their Last Semester
It is a stressful time for Seniors, whether you are in high school or college. Last semesters are starting or have already started, and you may be experiencing that Senioritis feeling and just want to be done.
There are a few short months left and then you will be going on to the next adventure in life. It can be scary or can be exciting.
Here are the top 5 tips for Seniors in their last semester.
Plan Out Your Grad Cap
This seems so minor, but it is something that will make the last semester fun. I never got to decorate my high school or community college cap and I regretted it. Students really get into it and it can be a fun time to spend with your friends and let your creative side show. Whether it is a simple message like “thanks mom and dad” or your favorite pop culture quote or something to do with your major, make it unique to you and something you will cherish.
Don’t Slack Off
Senioritis is a real thing, trust me. At this point in high school, most colleges are handing out acceptances, but you still need to pass the semester in order to graduate. As for college seniors, you can still get cum laude on your degree in your last semester, so don’t think it doesn’t count. It does count towards your GPA.
Enjoy Every Second Of It… It Goes Fast
You don’t believe people when they say it goes fast, but as for someone who has been out of college for almost a year now, believe me, it goes fast. Yesterday, you were a scared freshman, who didn’t know anything and all of a sudden, you’re standing on the steps waiting in line to get your diploma. Enjoy it. Life moves way too fast and you will be an adult before you know it. Soon you will be going to a class for the last time or doing homework for the last time, etc.
Go to prom, join a club, go to homecoming. You will never get those moments again.
You don’t have to have everything figured out right now. If you don’t get into your dream college or you don’t get your dream job, relax. Life works in mysterious ways and it will work out eventually. Everything happens for a reason. Work hard, but also take some time for you and just relax.
Cherish The Time With Family And Friends
You may be going to a college out of state or taking a job out of state, make sure to make the last couple of months with them, ones that everyone will cherish. You may lose friends who you graduate college with, it happens. Try to make memories with them now. Also, schedules may clash, and you may not have time to meet up, so do it now.
If you are in your last semester, congrats! You did it.
