Gloria and Joe were scheduled to go visit her family in Columbia during the Summer. Jay surprised Gloria by learning Spanish and saying he wants to go with them this Summer. Meanwhile, Manny decided to take a year to travel the world. Leaving Claire and Phil all by themselves.
The finale was great, although it felt a bit rushed. It didn’t wrap up everyone’s story until the end. However, we didn’t find out one thing: They used to talk to an unknown cameraperson like they were being interviewed. We never found out who they were talking to.
“Halloween” – Season 2, Episode 6
Claire tries to make their house the spookiest on the street by setting up the family in costumes and different scenes when trick-or-treaters come to the door. Meanwhile, Cam doesn’t participate nor like Halloween due to a traumatic childhood experience. Jay and Manny tease Gloria about her accent and therefore she starts speaking in an American accent, which causes the hilarious scene of “Welcome to your nightmare. Ha ha ha ha.”
“Run For Your Wife” – Season 1, Episode 6
It is the first day back to school for the Dunphy kids and Phil is trying to help Claire deal with an empty nest. Jay and Gloria argue over what Manny is wearing for his back to school outfit. New parents Cam and Mitch Freak out when Lily gets a bump on her head and when they lock her in the car, which makes for one of the most hilarious scenes of all time.
“The Wedding Part 1 and 2” – Season 5, Episodes 23 and 24
A series of crises lead up to Mitch and Cam’s wedding day that puts Pepper, the wedding planner, and best friend, to the test. Haley debates her feelings for Andy and Mitch and Cam star their married life together.
“Connection Lost” – Season 6, Episode 16
Not too many shows can make an entire episode where it takes place entirely over skype/ computer, but “Modern Family” pulled it off and it still delivered laughs.
Claire is waiting for her flight home while messaging Haley after the fight they had. She can’t get in touch with her, so she precedes to message and video chat everyone to see if they know where she is. In the end, Claire thinks she is pregnant with Andy’s baby and they ran away to Las Vegas together to get married. This episode even won an Emmy Award.
Thank you “Modern Family” for these past 11 seasons. We will miss you.
