Top 5 TV Shows That Are Ending This Year
With the pandemic happening this past year, many TV shows have been delayed. Others have been announced that they are ending. It is always sad to hear a show is ending, but if they know they are going off the air, then they can plan the proper finale.
Some shows have been airing for years, with numerous seasons under their belt and it is a shame to see them go. Read on to find out the top 5 shows ending this year.
Mom – CBS
“Mom” has been airing on CBS for 8 seasons and now it is coming to a close on Thursday, May 13th at 9/8c. After Anna Faris (Christie Plunkett) left the show this season they had to turn in a different direction, with her appearing ‘virtually’ through facetime and calls. “Mom” followed a show of a mother and daughter and their friends who were recovering alcoholics and drug addicts, who turned their life around. It was a feel-good comedy and it is a shame to see it go.
Last Man Standing – FOX
This isn’t the first time this show has come to a close. The show originally aired on ABC for 6 seasons, but once it was cancelled by the network, a few years later, FOX picked it up. “Last Man Standing” will end for good, in season 9, the proper way, on Thursday, May 20th at 9/8c with an hour-long series finale. The series stars Tim Allen, a happily married man with three daughters, who usually finds himself the odd-man out in a women-dominated house. Baxter is really out!
Judge Judy – CBS
“Judge Judy” has been on TV for 25 seasons and now it is time to say goodbye to the hilarious and brutally honest judge. It is the most-watched court show, averaging 9 million viewers a day. Now the show will be ending, and reruns will be put on TV. However, Sheindlin is not going anywhere just yet. “Judge Justice” is in the works. No word on where to watch it yet, but keep your ears and eyes peeled.
Keeping Up With the Kardashians – E!
The show focuses on the personal and professional lives of the Kardashian-Jenner bunch. However, it is ending this year after its 20th season. “KUWTK” is one of the longest-running reality TV shows ever. Although there is no set finale date, fans are speculating we may say goodbye to the show in June or July, based on the number of episodes. But it stopped filming on January 8th. They won’t be gone for long, however. The family struck a new deal with Hulu, where they will begin filming something in late 2021.
MacGyver – CBS
After just 5 seasons, “MacGyver” will end on April 30th. It was only announced this month that the season finale would actually be the series finale, due to lower ratings this season. This is the third major cancelation for CBS, after “Mom” and “NCIS: New Orleans.” Lucas Till plays an undercover government agent who prefers to fight crime with engineering rather than lethal force. Hopefully, it will end the way fans want it to.
